Optimum hot water circulation

For energy saving in hot water consumption in the case of a separate heating with circulation pump systems up to 400 € are offered, which provide more or less on demand for fast hot water and thus for less water and energy consumption at taps.

But the simplest and most sensible solution is to control the circulation pump with a radio-controlled switch socket with programmable hand-held transmitter. The circulation pump (hopefully with check valve) is connected to the radio-controlled socket, which positions (or the) hand-held transmitter next to the tap (s) (eg shower), a few minutes before the first hot water removal, the hand-held transmitter with "ON" pressed and after about 2-3 minutes again pressed "OFF". This prevents the hot water from circulating and cooling senselessly in the pipes.

If you use the correct switching systems (eg from Conrad electronics), you can also program the timer on the circulation pump so that it automatically switches to "OFF" after 2-3 minutes (you have to try it, depending on how long the pipes are) "switch. The Conrad systems work in my case over two floors (1st floor to basement) with concrete ceilings without problems.

Cost about 35 euros for radio switchbox and handheld transmitter.
