Pellas oriental meatballs with mint.

ingredients

  • about 600 g beef and / or lamb minced meat (preferably organic quality)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 shallots
  • 2 - 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 - 2 knife tips cumin
  • 1 - 2 knife tips cinnamon
  • 1/2 bunch of plain parsley
  • 1/2 bunch of fresh mint leaves
  • Pepper salt
  • a generous splash of tomato paste

  1. Mix the hack with the eggs and breadcrumbs. Grate the shallots finely. If you prefer to cut the onions finely, you should fry them in a little olive oil before, otherwise you will always have the taste of the raw onion, which does not fit well here. Press garlic. Add tomato paste, salt and pepper. Finely chop and add the fresh herbs. Everything also subsample. I do this by hand and remove all rings before.
  2. Now, always make a little snack by frying a small blob in a pan with olive oil. Depending on the consistency and seasoning you then add the appropriate ingredients.
  3. As soon as everything fits, thumb-sized little fingers roll, sauté briefly in olive oil until an outer, firm structure is created.
  4. Then it goes off on a baking paper-covered sheet, which is in the preheated oven. With my old oven I take 180 degrees and it takes about 30 minutes. You will surely see when it is optimally cooked.

It fits wonderfully: humus, mint yoghurt, sesame carrots, bulgur salad, pita bread, etc. ...
