Pass used toys to aid organizations

Mountains of toys are not so interesting for children after Christmas, because the dear parents and grandparents have bought a lot of new.

You can make space and also do something good, if you donate the old, maybe slightly broken toys. Of course, always ask the children if they want to part with it! Many organizations are working on toys - not just at Christmas time.

Who lives in Hannover or Neighborhood, I have a point of contact, the Toys Company.

I quote from her homepage:

The project collects, repairs and cleans used toys. This is passed on free of charge to children of eligible families and social institutions.

About us:

What is the Toys Company?

Since the beginning of April 2008, the TOYS COMPANY has been located in the building of DEKRA Akademie GmbH, Kesselstr. 14 resident. This is a joint project of the Job Center Region Hannover and the DEKRA Akademie GmbH. The DEKRA Academy has been one of the largest providers of further education and career orientation in Germany for 35 years.

The project is a "model company" that operates under the real conditions of a "normal" one. Business enterprise works. The difference to the free economy is that the TOYS makes no profit.

The employment opportunity (one-euro job) is an instrument of labor market reform under SGB II and is intended to help jobseekers to have a regular work day and sense, to better meet today's labor market requirements and thus to have a better chance in the primary job market.

collection points:

In the course of the project, several toy collection boxes will be created, which will be placed at various locations in Hanover to facilitate the delivery of toys.

Our central collection point is the workshop at Kesselstraße 14. The opening hours for the receipt and delivery of toys: Mondays to Fridays from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

If you have any questions or suggestions regarding collection boxes (eg new location for collection box), please contact us at [email protected] or by phone at 0511 / 87959-33.

-Quote end-

There are obviously branches in 50 German cities of the Toys Company, if you are interested in the phone number you can ask yes.

I live in Essen and give stuffed animals and games to one of the many deaconry jobs, which they clean thoroughly, possibly repair and then sell for very little money. For me it is unacceptable that there are children who desperately want a single teddy and do not get one.
