Pastime on long car trips - like older children

A long drive is not a pure pleasure. The children will soon be bored. My boys always had fun with the following game:

You look at the people in the cars that drive on the lane next to you.

The following questions are asked:

What's your name ?
Where are you going ?
What are you doing there?
Is it a family or work colleagues?

Example:

A red VW Golf. 4 people, including a 10-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl, probably mum and dad in front.

Son 1: So the girl's name is Wilma, the boy Marco.

Son 2: This is the Braun family from Cologne.

Mother: You're going to grandma's in Munich

Dad: She's in the hospital because she broke a toe on the stairs in the chicken house.

General laughter.

This is how the game works. Honestly, we spent hours like this.

It gets interesting when your own children start to argue: The girl is not called Wilma! Wilmas have red hair, everyone knows that! This is Meike, you doofi!
