Perennial basil, instead of the cheap short-lived from the supermarket
Instead of buying the cheap, short-lived and highly cultivated basil pots from the supermarket and dispose of them after about 4 weeks to get a new one, there is a wonderful alternative in the garden trade the perennial basilica. Just ask! It tastes just as delicious and you can, if you have a reasonably "green thumb", also multiply. For this you put shoot tips in the water and after a week, roots are already showing. This is not rocket science! Winter hardy is the perennial basil unfortunately not, but on the windowsill I've been a "mother plant" for years!
