Pick up pieces of glass with damp kitchen paper

When you drop a glass and break it into a thousand pieces, you first sweep up most of it. The tiny fragments can be removed without residue by making kitchen paper moist and thus wiping the remaining splinters together. Do not save on paper, so you do not cut! Kitchen paper is also better than newsprint, otherwise you might have ink on the floor. Then shine with a flashlight diagonally across the ground, if nothing sparkles!
