Pickled garlic tastes great-tasty z. For example, to a strong farmer's bread with butter, he can of course also be used for cooking - and you smell it by far not as strict as with fresh Knofi!

Peel about one kilo of cloves of garlic (laboriously, I know, but it's worth it!) And place it in a jar of water and a splash of vinegar so they do not discolour.


Make a brew from:

  • 1/2 L white wine
  • 1/2 L white wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2-5 tbsp sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons of colorful, dried peppercorns
  • 4-6 dried whole chilies, slightly cracked
  • 2 broken laurel leaves
  • possibly up to 5 cloves
  • Rosemary and thyme, dried
  • if you want, you can add some crushed juniper berries

preparation

Boil everything together (Knofi + Sud) and cook for about five minutes. Very hot in very well rinsed Twist / Off-glasses fill, still about one centimeter high with olive oil and cover the glasses firmly.

Now the glasses only have to be hidden well, so that the contents are not immediately refilled ...
