Plum jam from prunes

Christmas is over! The Easter bunnies have already arrived in the supermarkets and the end of January!

But I still had prunes left that did not find their way inside the Christmas bird. Since I do not know how long open prunes hold, they were simply processed into spreads.

ingredients

  • 500 g prunes
  • 300 ml of elderberry juice
  • 200 ml of red wine
  • Gelierzucker

preparation

  1. I put the prunes in the juice and wine for a long time and simmered and simmered, before I crushed them with the blender.
  2. Then I stirred in the gelling sugar. The amount of gelling sugar depends on whether you use 1: 1 or 1: 2 mixture, please note the packaging information.
  3. The mus-mass let it simmer until it gels. You control this by letting a drop cool on a saucer and watching if it becomes solid. If the drop gels, the mus can be filled into the boiled glasses. Please keep the closed glasses on the head for 10 minutes so that it does not mold under the lid.
  4. Ready is the "plum jam special". I like to eat it on the breakfast sandwich with cottage cheese.
