ingredients

  • about 5 kg of fresh plums
  • 500 g of sugar
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 piece of ginger
  • 1 bottle of rum 40%

preparation

  1. Cook the prunes with the vanilla pod, the ginger, the cinnamon sticks and the cloves for about 1.5 hours until it is really mushy.
  2. Then stir everything through a very fine sieve.
  3. Then add the juice with the sugar and bring to a boil until everything is dissolved.
  4. When the juice is cold, add the rum and put it in bottles.
