Plum red jam

Wash 1kg plum, stone and place in a saucepan.

Then add 300 ml of red wine (depending on your preference - I have cherry red wine taken) and bring to a boil on medium. Stir well, so that nothing burns!

As soon as the fruits boil and soften, I still add
2 teaspoons cinnamon,
a pinch of anise,
2 sprigs of fresh rosemary (take out again before pureeing)
and add some gingerbread spice.

To make a fine and fruity jam without pieces, I puree the fruit. Now add the sugar, about 1000 g of refined sugar (I take 100g of brown sugar and 300g gelling sugar), who would like to have the jam not so sweet, takes less.

If you use jelly sugar, please note the information on the package!

The whole should now boil for 5-10 minutes until the sugar has dissolved. -!!!STIR!!!-

Then you can fill the delicious jam in clean and dry preserving jars, let cool and then enjoy on delicious bread ;-)

I hope the jam tastes as good as my family and me and I wish you a lot of fun cooking!

Attention: Depending on the type of plum, a lot of liquid is produced during cooking! I let the fruit porridge sink in quite a bit, because I do not want to use so much sugar and want to boil the alcohol.

The amount of sugar can therefore vary! To make sure the jam is firm enough, always put a sample on a plate and let it cool down!
