The green lily - fast growing and robust

The green lily has been enriching our apartments for many years. Their long narrow leaves may contain green or white stripes. The amount of water for the green lily can be very small, but it is constantly growing. Their locations can be either shady or on furniture, because here their offshoots really come into their own. The offshoots form after flowering and can be easily transplanted at a certain size.


The Bogenhanf needs very little care

The plant with the sword-shaped leaves was once very popular in the 60s, now the beauty of the desert returns to the living area. Since the plant is very easy to maintain, it also thrives without any horticultural knowledge. Requirements for location and regular irrigation, the bow hemp does not, even a prolonged dry period survives this plant. It should not stand too cold, temperatures below twelve degrees will damage the plant, so these should be avoided.

Elephant foot requires little water

The easy-care houseplants also include the elephant's foot. Because of its bulbous trunk, the elephant foot is also called bottle tree. The plant also tolerates higher temperatures at 35 degrees, but it comes also well with only five degrees. Its long leaves do not turn brown so quickly when sprayed with water regularly.

The dragon tree

The dragon tree can reach a height of up to two meters, in the open air its height is up to 18 meters.


  • Location - light to half shade, protect from drafts

  • Humidity - spray regularly with water
  • Fertilization - regular fertilization every two weeks, in winter enough once or twice a month
  • Direct solar radiation should be avoided, because these are not tolerated by the dragon tree.

The yucca palm

Their pointed and long leaves drive the yucca palm out of a straight and lignified trunk. The attractive plants can be found in many apartments and are among the most popular indoor plants of the Germans. The rapid growth makes them so popular with hobby gardeners.

  • Location - sunny places, with enough warmth even outdoors on balcony and terrace
  • Irrigation - water often in the sun, soil should always have a residue of moisture
  • Fertilizing - regular fertilization every three weeks is sufficient.

The effigies

The Efeutute is a rather striking houseplant, its leaves are provided with a white or yellow grain. The limb cactus

The mimosa is satisfied with a bright location and needs only very moderate water. The peculiarity of the mimosa are their leaves, because these fold together when touched. This should be avoided if possible, because the flap of the leaves robs the plant a lot of energy.
