Potato and leek pan

A hearty dish of potatoes, leeks, peppers and debrezins. Enjoy the meal!

ingredients

  • 500 g potatoes (potato), boiling
  • 3 leeks (poree)
  • 1-2 small onions
  • garlic
  • pepper
  • salt
  • Caraway seed
  • Paprika, red and yellow
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 pair Debreziner
  • 2 tablespoons lard (old roasted pork roast)
  • Vegetable soup (old, grained broth + hot water)

preparation

The usual preparations of vegetables: cut potatoes and onion into slices. Cut the peppers into cubes and the leeks into slices about 1 cm thick, and squeeze the garlic. Melt the lard or cooking fat in a frying pan. Roast the tomato paste and caraway well, add the garlic and continue frying. Now cut the Debrezins in Radln and add them with the vegetables and potatoes and stir well. After five minutes pour some vegetable soup (the liquid should be completely overcooked after completion of the dish), season with salt and pepper and stew at 180 degrees in the oven for about 40 minutes.

Vegetables can be changed according to season and availability.

Whether there are Debreziner in Germany, I do not know. In the optics they look like Frankfurter (Viennese), only these consist of coarse and paprized sausage meat.
