Potato Bacon Cake

This hearty cake with potatoes and bacon is made very quickly and tastes great and small.

  • 1 package of planed cheese
  • 2 packages of bacon
  • about 500 g potatoes (can be more)

  1. Peel potatoes and cut into thin slices. I like to take my vegetable slicer.
  2. Spread the bacon all around in a casserole dish or oven pan so that all ends hang over the edge. Then the potato slices are distributed in a circle and seasoned with pepper and a little salt and then sprinkled with cheese. In the sequence you continue until the potatoes are all.
  3. Now you work the drooping bacon over the potatoes and bake it at 175 degrees circulating air for about 1 hour, depending on the potato variety a bit longer. Half the time I cover the cake with aluminum foil so that the bacon does not burn.

It fits creme fraiche or a lemon sauce and salad.
