Potato press versatile

Many households have a potato press in a drawer. They can be successfully misused, e.g. for spaghetti, spaetzle or pasta dough.

Such a stainless steel potato press was once considered a standard wedding gift and lies around unused in many kitchen drawers. The device is so versatile: Apart from fluffy mashed potatoes, you can squeeze noodle dough with it and let spaetzle dough fall directly into the cooking water through the press. Why not even boil beetroot, mixed with potatoes, to a rich-pink puree squeeze?

In addition, the device is perfect for spaghetti ice cream! Just fill a few spoons of firm vanilla ice cream and press on a plate. Raspberry sauce on it, ready.

And for salt dough tinkering, you can conjure up wonderful hair for dolls. Put a few spoonfuls of salt dough out of flour, salt and egg white in the press and the "hair" comes out in thin worms and then only has to be pressed to the right and left of the head of the figure.

Very versatile so, the old potato press!
