Potatoes for potato gratin

When I make potato gratin, I slice the potatoes raw and then cook them. So I do not have to wait until the potatoes have cooled down until I can slice them, and I do not burn my fingers if I have no patience to wait. And another advantage: the potatoes do not grind so easily by the pressure that you have to apply when cutting with your hands.

When the potato slices are cooked, all you need to do is place them in the casserole dish and add the remaining ingredients, then put them in the oven and ... done!
