Practically filling jam with washcloths
I often cook jam or jelly at the moment. In order not to burn my fingers or hands on the hot glass, I wet a washcloth. Then I go with my left hand (am Rechtshänderin) into it with the jam jar.
Now I fill with the other hand and a ladle the jam and screwed the glass. At the same time, I can also wipe off glue residue with the washcloth.
Even if you fill the hot jam with a funnel, you still have to hold the glass with a lid while turning it over, then turn the glass over to make a vacuum.
Everything with the damp washcloth trouble-free, clean, fast and easy.
