"Puffed rice" tea

Ok, in fact "roasted rice tea". A delicious "variant" that tastes with its "popcorn taste" certainly newbies and especially children. I have always bought the corresponding tea, but it is often too expensive for me. In addition, this so-called "Genmaicha" is rarely to buy, and also tastes the version of most Teelaeden always so much for Reiscracker. Much too "spicy", or how it should best be described.

So, what does that mean? Do it Yourself!

The ingredients are not hard to come by. Green tea the variety is relatively unimportant, the main thing it is loose and not squeezed in bags. And then rice (uncooked!). If you get directly roasted rice, or unscheduled puffed rice is actually quite good. Otherwise, roast the rice. Should actually all but one more time for the absolute newcomers, for thefruitandflowerbasket was actually made: make a (large) pan without oil hot, the rice (depending on the amount in portions) roast until it is evenly browned everywhere. That should not take too much time and smell delicious. Let the finished rice cool down first. The best way to read a book or write tips for thefruitandflowerbasket.com, because the rice takes most of the time to cool down. When that's done, the least demanding part comes. Place the tea and rice in an airtight container. It should be about half / half the best something more tea than rice. Now just mix (just shake, go fastest) and done. Just make it as normal tea, that means: Boil the water, let it cool a bit (as usually with green tea) and pour over it. For each cup about a teaspoon, and preferably for 2-3 minutes to infuse. It's not that demanding and because of the mix you can not go wrong with normal green tea without it. And in Japan, where the corresponding tea comes from, not so much tea-making is going on outside the tea ceremony.

And even if it is often considered frowned upon in green tea, (at least in my opinion) this tea tastes cold with a little sugar the best. Or, as an addition, into the mix some popcorn (homemade and unseasoned) purely.
Long speech, short sense: Let it taste you.
