Pure nature instead of dryer cloths for pleasant laundry scent

Here is a tip for those who do not want to or can not do without a tumble dryer, but - as I do not find the typical "dryer smell" on their laundry really attractive:

For some time now I am - after a long hesitation - now proud owner of a tumble dryer. To bridge the winter time, in which outdoor drying is not possible and the laundry in the basement often dries only slowly, this is great, but I do not like the typical, slightly "dusty" smell that the laundry in the dryer takes on ,

"Drying cloths", as they are in every drugstore yes, while distribute the smell of the dryer, but - I'm sure there is something "difficult" * ggg * - the artificial "softener fragrance" I find even worse.

That's why I developed my own method for laundry "scenting":

When dry I pack a - well sealed - bag with a good handful of dried herbs between the laundry. Optionally, e.g. Lavender, lemon verbena, pineapple sage or something similar pleasant. I have plenty of it in the summer on the terrace and dry anyway in bulk (for tea and for bathing etc.).

The heat releases the fragrance of the herbs and the laundry absorbs enough of it to smell pleasantly fresh and discreetly after the dryer (not as hard as with the bought towels).

The "herbal bomb" can be used well 3-4x, if you knead the whole thing before using it (the crushing of the plant parts releases the fragrances).

So I have pleasant fresh linen without any "chemistry" and at the same time a useful use for my dried herbs, without the family and friends throughout the winter "bless" with tons of herbal tea to mine my supplies * ggg *.

Important in the whole thing: the bag must necessarily be very well sealed and made of a tightly woven fabric, otherwise you have the whole laundry full of greenery! I used a tightly knotted, large tissue handkerchief during the trial period. In the meantime I have sewn "Fragrance bags" with zipper.
