But sometimes you do too much of a good thing if you either fill in too much softener or detergent - or forget to put it in the washing machine. Then rags or the like can. quickly spit like ... (poof). I have a practical tip for foul-smelling cleaning rags (cookable!), If you need to go fast: simply pour over boiling water and let it steep or put the stinker in the boiling water. The odor bacteria are killed, the detergent smell comes out new and you can clean again with a clean cloth
