Quince compote

I finally got a box full of quince from my neighbor. I have never really done anything with quince. So I first tried a simple recipe: quince compote.

I peeled, gutted and diced about 750 g of quince. I steamed it together with 5-6 tablespoons of sugar and about 150 ml of apple juice (orange juice should also go) in a pot for 15 minutes. To top off the aroma, you can also add some cinnamon.

I have to say, it tastes delicious. Can be super with custard, ice cream or sauce eat. If you want calorie-free, take the (low-fat or fat-free) natural yogurt.
