Raffaello cake


Preparation time: 30 min.
Cooking or baking time: 50 min.
Total preparation time: 1 hr. 20 min.

As promised and promised, I share the recipe of my daughter's Raffaello birthday cake with you. The cake tasted very good to us, who likes coconut, will love this cake.

For the soil is needed:


  • 6 eggs separated
  • 180 g of sugar
  • 280 g of flour
  • 1 pck vanillin sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of baking soda


The eggs are separated, the egg whites are beaten stiff and the egg yolks are mixed with vanilla sugar and the sugar, the flour and baking powder are mixed underneath and finally the egg white is lifted.

The whole thing is now filled into a greased Springform and baked at 175 degrees for about 50 minutes.

For covering:

  • 80 g of coconut flakes
  • 4 cups of cream
  • 2 plates of white chocolate
  • 1 large pack of Raffaello (some set aside for decoration)
  1. Put the 4 cups of cream in a saucepan, warm and melt the 2 tablets of chocolate, then cool the cream and put it in the fridge overnight.
  2. The next day, beat the cream firmly and mix in the grated coconut, the crushed raffaellos (best with meat tenderizer).
  3. The floor can be cut twice and covered with the flooring inside and outside and decorated with the Raffaello (we did not do that, since we have coated the cake with the fondant).
