Recipe: Bake dog biscuits yourself
Time
Total preparation time: 50 min.
As a treat in between or regularly after eating for dental care, dog biscuits are always very welcome.
If Bello and Fiffi could bake themselves, they might do the following:
Ingredients for a basic recipe
(for about 40 pieces)
- 400 g wholemeal flour
- 200 g of oatmeal
- Approximately 40 g lard or some cold-pressed vegetable oil
- Approximately 1/4 L broth (depending on the strength of the dough, a little more or less)
preparation
- Knead all ingredients, roll out about 1/2 to 1cm thick, cut out with little molds or a glass of biscuits or cut the dough into lozenges.
- Bake on baking paper for about 40 minutes, at 160 degrees. If the dog biscuits are to become particularly crisp, they can be cured in the oven turned off.
- This basic recipe can be varied at will by adding a variety of ingredients: some sausage meat or tuna, quark or sunflower seeds. Just ask Bello.
Woof!
