Recover the exhausted budgerigar
If the budgerigar has escaped from its cage and flies around the room, it is first of all most important to keep calm. It is best to turn off the lights or slowly close the curtains during the day so the bird will believe it is evening.
The bird will, according to his instinct, go to a safe place, his cage. If that does not work, just leave the cage door open and at the latest when the bird gets hungry, he will voluntarily return to his cage.
