Remove adhesive residue from package adhesive tape
If you do not know it, take a picture tape (brown plastic tape) to attach the tarpaulins instead of a masking tape. When removing one annoys then on the remaining adhesive residue on door and window sills or on the chair rails.

Simply buy a crepe tape later and dab off the adhesive residue with it. The two adhesives bond more firmly than the adhesive of the plastic tape to the substrate.
