Remove labels - please do not use in the dishwasher
At TheFruitAndFlowerBasket I found a tip in the comments for the problem of removing labels from glasses under the following tip, "Remove labels - super fast": remove labels in the dishwasher.
No, I did not follow the advice. We had along with a full load of dirty dishes u. a. Put an empty jam jar in the dishwasher. I wanted to remove the label before as possible, but only partially worked. After the rinse, all the rinsed dishes were covered with a heavy white layer. At first glance, it looked like lime and a massive regenerating salt deficiency. Could not be, yesterday, was still impeccable. Also vinegar did not help a bit.
The cause of this was the label's glue on the jam jar. I had to laboriously clean every piece of crockery with scouring cream aka, VISS or MOC. The dishwasher itself was cleaned with special intensive cleaners without dishes inside.
Conclusion: Never give labels in the dishwasher, even if it could work out often. I hope the photos scare off enough.
