Remove limescale on smooth plastic and glass surfaces
There is a great deal of discussion on how to most effectively remove limescale from glass or plastic surfaces. Some swear by rinse aid, which is usually used in dishwashers, the others on vinegar essence.
In terms of efficiency, I have used the two windows of our shower cubicle and put the sample to the test.
I started with the rinse aid. The result was o.k. but there were still clear lime traces to see and even longer cleaning with a slightly roughened sponge has not removed.
In contrast, I have the other disc processed with a dilute Essigessenzlösung (about 40% Essigessenz to 60% water). The result was clear. Only a few remains of limestone were found on this disc after a short time.
Disadvantage of the Essigessenz, however, is the quite biting smell. Just when you are in the cabin and forced to close the door to be able to clean it, that is not pleasant. Nevertheless, it is the clearer favorite for me.
