Remove plantar warts or plantar warts

Experience in the conservative treatment of plantar warts - Treatment with Verrumal, Guttaplast and pumice under medical supervision.

I had the plantar warts for over 8 years. Several dermatologists have tried to help me, mostly with icing. Then I was referred to a surgeon. Since I had read in forums that a surgical removal often causes problems, I looked for a long time for a specialist and came across a capable foot surgeon.

She immediately suggested a conservative treatment and prescribed Verrumal, which made it easier for me. So I have successfully managed the treatment after their instruction and under their care. I needed almost 3 months.

Here I have the place with the wart, repeatedly softened by means of a foot bath (or by a full bath) and with pumice the upper cornea removed above the wart. According to the doctor, the viruses are down below and the drug has to get there.

Then I covered the skin around the wart with Penathencreme (alternatively Kindererkaufmannscreme) and Verrumal (the instructions should read!) Applied. In addition, I have a piece of Guttaplast launched (the Guttaplast you get in the pharmacy). The whole thing I taped with a plaster.

The doctor advised me to perform the treatment only in the evening and to wear two socks on top of each other after the treatment. If you walk during the day, are probably silicone pillows (Pharmacy) for padding makes sense. I did the treatment in the morning and in the evening, because I did not keep the doctor's announcement exactly in the head and stood in the Verrumal instructions 2-3 times a day. The doctor said that was too often. There would then be too much "necrotic" (aborted) tissue and the warts would also take their time.

By applying Verrumal to the place where the wart is, the skin becomes white there, ie, the skin dies off and you have to remove the dead tissue again and again with pumice (under running jet of water or in the foot bath), so that the Verrumal Active ingredient (salicylic acid) gets better at each new treatment to the virus.

My doctor warned me to use a cornea plane. This had recommended to me a former dermatologist. In any case, I have worn off the dead skin not only with the pumice, but also now and then with the cornea planer. The skin layers run in waves, as the doctor told me. That's why I really used the planer with extreme care.

Approximately Every 4 weeks I went to the doctor, who then removed the dead skin much better with a scalpel.

After over two months, the spot where the wart was was very large as a white spot under my foot and I could not really see what the wart was and what it was and I was in pain walking (I am quite insensitive to pain and would have to endure even further). Since I had not yet a new doctor's appointment, I interrupted the treatment for about 8 days and let the place heal.

In fact, the wart was gone and the doctor said at the next appointment that she could no longer detect any signs of the wart. As her recommendation at the beginning was that after the wart had disappeared, I had to treat her for another 14 days, so I am just finishing the aftercare.

What was not clear to me about the whole treatment was that the doctor was talking about black spots where the viruses would be. Partly I have seen these black dots and removed with the dead skin. Whether this could possibly also be dried bleeding (as I have partly read in forums and as a doctor's assistant used to tell me at a dermatologist), I do not know.

I hope that I really made it and the wart does not come back. If it is, I will repeat the said treatment accordingly. With such a conservative treatment with pumice stone and Guttaplast, I had already successfully treated a plantar wart 25 years ago with the help of a dermatologist.

I probably always get the plantar warts in swimming pools. But now I watch better and wear bathing shoes. Also in hotels you should Do not walk barefoot, as the doctor's doctor recommended.

As a recommendation, I can add that you should prepare the Guttaplast and the plaster already. The Guttaplast can be shredded well with a paper punch. The intermediate pieces, between the holes, can be cut well with scissors.

The treatment in the morning with the shower (with the pumice stone) and after the shower, was convenient for me. With practice, I only needed a few minutes per treatment.

It is important that you continue with the treatment regularly.
