Remove printer ink from carpet

After I had the mishap with the printer ink (magenta) happened on the carpet, I cleaned the stain with water, which was only a partial success. Then I treated him several times with a window cleaner.

Action

Spray, leave for about 30 seconds, then dab with household paper. Repeat the process until no discoloration is visible on the household paper. Be careful, never rub, just dab.

The success was better, but even after repeated dabbing the stain is not completely gone.

After 2 weeks I got the advice from the carpet maker, I should try it with gall soap. I moistened the stain with water and painted gall soap over it and "massaged" (do not rub) with my finger a little and left it on for a few minutes. Then dabbed with water and household paper. Lo and behold, the stain was gone. Carpet: 100% PA, color dark gray.

Gall soap looks like a piece of hand soap and is available in drugstores and supermarkets.

Later, I can not judge whether a cleaning with gall soap from the beginning would have had the same success.
