Remove / replace glass ceramic panel
Just had the pleasure to install a new 80 cm glass ceramic box and to pay for it, although we did not throw anything on it and it just split into two with a relatively straight crack when cooking with a small water pot after 3 years and 8 months after installation!
Costs: Neff Customer Service: 1500, - new, 700, - install new glass -150, - Goodwill (!!) - Tax deduction of craftsman bill (delivery and installation 110, -): 440, - for a self-destructing field of Neff ( Manufacturer as well as with all others: Schott).
A tip out of frustration: You can change the field quite easily yourself, also the disc was at our for each halfway craftsmanship skill to do!
Backup out !!! Check with phase tester (possibly 400V!)! Or bump test!
Carefully pry it up all the way round - it is only held by a so-called sponge rubber seal. Then loosen about 10 self-tapping screws, which connect it all around with the actual hob. Place new pane with decorative frame on the actual hob, screw on, renew seal, insert, done!
One should look at the prices quiet times, obs not something equally suitable new. We did not have any nerves anymore and 80s fields are relatively rare.
