Remove rusty cutlery from basket and repair
To repair the cutlery basket, first roughly remove the damaged area by using a sandpaper (grain size 120) and sand the area to be treated approx. 4-5 mm outwards so that the enamel coating is connected. Then remove dust with a cloth and degrease.
Now the enamel paint can be applied (careful not too thick application), the paint is nice tough, so you can also work wonderfully in vertical places, but it runs when too much was applied. Let it dry well now about 5-6 hours. Afterwards, the cutlery basket is fully operational again and expertly repaired.
The enamel paint is available in all colors and in ready to use 8 ml tubes (that's enough for 100 repairs) for 3-5 euros, available in any well-stocked hardware store or ebay.
