Remove smudges from the curtain
I had old smears in the curtains. My treatments with butter, soap, dish soap and stain remover as well as many tips from the net did not help.
After years, today a last attempt with undiluted liquid bleach (for example DanKlorix or similar ...), as soon new curtains are purchased. Place the affected area of the curtain in a dish / bucket with a cup of undiluted liquid bleach and, after 10-20 minutes of use, scrub the areas vigorously with a hand brush.
Immediate success: the spots have disappeared. Then wash in the machine as usual.
Attention: Check fabric for colourfastness first!
