Replace cables in floor lamps or chandeliers
If the cable of a floor lamp or a chandelier has given up its ghost, it means disposal or repair. Has one decided on a repair, does it say how the new cable get into the pendulum tube of the lamp?
Here is my tip:
When attaching a tight thin cord to the cable end, slowly pull the cord with the attached cord out of the lamp. Attach the new cable to the outstretched end of the string and pull the thread very slowly and carefully on the other side.
The cable must always be re-plugged. As I said, pull very carefully so that the knot on the cable does not come loose.
This work is best done in pairs.
