Rinse laundry better
I'm not thrilled that washing machines today wash with so little water. I also do not like it when my laundry smells of washing powder, because that's an indication for me that it was badly rinsed.
I extend the rinse in the following way: I only give in the compartment for the pre-washing detergent powder. The compartment for the main wash remains empty. The main wash becomes an additional rinse. If you can see how frothy it is despite the sparing use of detergents, it reinforces that. Then vinegar in the softener compartment and my laundry just smells fresh and clean.
