Russian Mince Pot
Time
Total preparation time: 45 min.
If you want to do something different with minced meat than chilli con carne or spaghetti, here is another equally tasty tip that you can not go wrong with:
ingredients
For 3-4 people (or 2 students):
- 500 g minced meat (beef or mixed)
- 2 leeks
- 1-2 times (depending on size)
- about 150 g tomato paste
- 200 ml meat or vegetable broth
- 1-2 teaspoons mustard
- 1-2 teaspoon paprika
- Pepper salt
- Oil for searing
- Sour cream or sour cream to refine
- As a side dish I recommend spaetzle or ribbon noodles, so about 400-500 g
preparation
- Peel the onions, finely dice. It is best to clean the leeks and cut them into rings, then you have the schnibbelei already behind you.
- Fry the onions in a saucepan with the oil. It's best to put on the water for the spaetzle / noodles - it always takes a while to cook.
- Add the minced meat and fry until light brown and crumbly.
- Now add the leek, sauté briefly.
- Then add the broth, tomato paste and mustard. Mix well. Season with paprika, pepper and salt. I also like to season with this dish with some mustard - to taste.
- Now would be a good time to put the spaetzle / noodles in the boiling water. Because we let the mincemeat pot simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes - that's just enough for the noodles.
- Everyone grabs the Schmand at will to his portion, if it is on the plate.
