Save paper, avoid waste, relieve the burden on the environment

Anyone who goes to the doctor and is examined there on a couch almost always lays down a sheet of paper that is rolled out from the end of the couch over the entire bed. You usually take off your shoes and then lie down with your rather clean clothes (pants and sweater, for example). After a few minutes you get up again, the doctor or helper tears off the paper and pushes everything in the garbage can.

Now, some time ago, as I pondered the deforestation of the forests and the destruction of our environment, I considered that I might be able to use this fairly large amount of paper for other purposes. Since then, in such situations, I always tear down the appropriate piece of paper - garnished with a little explanatory remark, which usually causes a great surprise - by hand, simply fold it in the perforated places and put it in the bag as a small package.

At home, I cut the whole thing with a few cuts of my household scissors into handy sheets in the toilet paper sheet format and deposit everything next to the toilet. The quality, softness and tear strength can compete with any commercial role, these "leaves" for a few "sessions" their purpose, I have to buy the next toilet paper until a while later, the doctor has less garbage and one or the other trees maybe live longer.

By the way, the more people join in the economical and intelligent paper consumption, the better ...

Another thing: even the paper napkins, which are extremely generous everywhere and barely dabbed (once dabbed on the lips) or not used and then naturally thrown away, are also suitable for such purposes (see above) or at least for the next handkerchief requirement. Even my grandmother used to say with a slight smile and very charming "Oh, I can still use the paper napkin as a handkerchief"!
