Saving - more often "spend one"
Invite guests to dinner! The more the better. If you have to serve more than 10 people, no one will blame you if only Bockwurst and Buttertoast are served. Of course, a supermarket wine from the 5-liter tetra pack fits perfectly. A pair of IKEA tealights and ALDI napkins, and then that's right with the ambiance.
The clou:
The evening costs about 10 Euro, but at least 10 people feel obliged to invite you to dinner as well - as it saves 10 nights properly.

I have this tip from a paperback "The small Sparkochbüchlein". Unfortunately, I lost that, confused or something. Who knows that - has that - knows how to get back to it?
