Schnippo bean stew (as my mama has always done)

2 glasses of Schnippelbohnen (or also "Schnittbohnen")
1 medium onion
about 700g peeled potatoes (some like more, some less ...)
4 Mettenden (or "smokers")
some butter (it is also cooking oil or margarine)
savory
salt
pepper
Broth (powder)
Powder for mashed potatoes

Dice the onions, potatoes and meat ends. Braise for about 10 minutes in butter.
Add the Schnippel beans. Fill each glass with water and add (then you have the right amount of liquid and "bean remains" are immediately flushed out of the glass).
Approximately 1-2 tsp. Add broth and savory (to taste).
Approximately Simmer for 1-1 1/2 hours.
Harden with the mashed potato powder until the stew has a slightly creamy consistency (stir well when sprinkling!).
Season with salt, pepper, and maybe some broth powder.

Tastes especially good if the stew has been one night.
Is also great for 2 days, then just do more :-)!

My family always cheers when I make this stew :-)!
