The chocolate cake is actually one of the well-known "dry" cake, but it is anything but that. It is wonderfully juicy and easy, keeps fresh for a few days and can be frozen well if necessary. Thawed in time, it tastes like freshly baked.

The cake does not need too many ingredients and is prepared quickly. The box shape to be used should necessarily have a length of 35 cm. In a smaller form, the cake would overflow during baking.

ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 300 g of sugar
  • 1 pck of vanilla sugar
  • 300 g of flour
  • 1 pck of baking soda
  • 200 ml of neutral oil
  • 200 ml of mineral water
  • 1 pckg. (100 g) grated chocolate
  • Whole milk or fine dry to taste
  • 1 tbsp icing white or white couverture

preparation

  1. Mix the eggs, sugar and vanilla sugar with the hand mixer to a frothy mixture.
  2. Now add the oil slowly and stir in as well. Mix the flour and baking powder and gently stir in the egg mixture.
  3. Now come the chocolate chips - about a tablespoon of it to hold back for decoration. Finally, the mineral water is stirred evenly under the dough and this can now be filled in the greased and sprinkled with crumbs form.
  4. In the meantime, the oven is preheated to 170 degrees and the cake is allowed to bake for approx. 1 hour in top / bottom heat.
  5. After the baking time, remove the cake from the oven and topple out of the mold.
  6. Allow to cool slightly and then the liquid white chocolate or couverture is applied and the remaining chocolate chips are sprinkled on.

When the cake has cooled completely, it may then be simmered for coffee.
