Sheep cheese from the grill

A great recipe, if you do not feel like getting the same grill program. Also great for vegetarians: sheep's cheese from the grill.

Preparation about 10 minutes, on the grill 10-15 minutes.

You need (for 1 person to eat or for 2-3 people as a side dish)

  • 1 pkg of feta cheese (can also be from cow's milk)
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • Herbs (fresh or dried): eg rosemary, thyme, Oregao, basil (you can also simply take herbs from Provence)
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • aluminum foil

preparation

  1. Slice tomatoes and garlic, chop herbs if necessary
  2. Tear off aluminum foil (so that the piece is square)
  3. A good splash of olive oil on the foil, some salt and pepper and the herbs with it
  4. Turn the cheese (of course unpacked) in the oil / herb mixture
  5. Wrap the cheese with 2 slices of tomato and garlic in the top and bottom of the aluminum foil
  6. Off to the grill (the cheese is ready if the aluminum foil can easily be pushed in with the barbecue tongs)

The whole thing works of course in larger quantities or with many small portions. At the barbecue party, I just quarter the cheese and prepare the oil / herbal mixture in a bowl. The cheese pieces are then simply pulled through the bowl.
