Shelf life on tubes

Anyone who sometimes or even more often buys pastes into tubes will know the problem: The tube is rolled up from the back in use and the expiration date disappears, which the manufacturers always use to print on the so-called tube fold. It really does not belong in my opinion. But that can be changed:

If the manufacturers do not already, then we take just a permanent felt-tip pen and note the expiration date on the tube shoulder, so on the surface below the closure.

It's always there to see, and we can empty and roll up our tubes to the last detail, without losing track.

And who now thinks, durability data are unimportant in tubes, please think of fish (caviar) paste or possibly cosmetics.

Nobody needs to follow suit, but if there's a sell-by date, I want to be able to see it all the time.
