Simple Black Forest Cherry Pie with or without alcohol

Time

Total preparation time: 1 hr.

ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons hot water
  • 6 eggs
  • 180 g of sugar
  • 190 g of flour
  • 50 g of cocoa powder
  • some baking soda (1/2 packet)
  • 2 glasses of sour cherry (sour cherries) and some cornstarch if you want some kirsch
  • 2 cups whipped cream, vanilla sugar
  • Chocolate flakes for flavoring

preparation

  1. First set aside some nice sour cherries for the garnish. Boil the rest of the sour cherry with a small amount of cherry juice, thicken with some cornstarch, if you want you can add some kirsch. Set aside - let cool.
  2. Then it goes to the dough: Stir the water, the WHOLE eggs and the sugar thick-frothy (so 15 minutes that the dough is beautifully fluffy). Then mix the flour with the cocoa and the baking powder and fold carefully. Bake in preheated tube, at about 180 degrees until the dough is through (stick sample).
  3. Cut once after cooling. Beat the cream and sweeten with vanilla sugar as desired. Spread a thin layer of cream on the first floor and pull up a cream rim on the edge. So press around a layer of cream on the edge. Distribute the chilled cheese in it.
  4. Second floor on top, also with a thin layer of cream. Cool in the fridge, remove from the mold and coat with the remaining cream.
  5. Press chocolate flakes around the edge. Spray cream tuffs on top and put a cherry on top each. (If you want, you can also drizzle the floors with a little kirsch.)
