Simple remedy for icy-cold child seat in winter
For a long time I was looking for a solution, which I against the icy cold Child seat can do in winter. The baby seat always came into the warm, but since Junior no longer fits in there, he has a child seat of class I, which remains in the car.
After a freezing night (we live high up in the mountains and rely on the car) I always had concerns that the seat might be too cold. I scoured the I-Net and came across all sorts of tips, e.g. to do the good old hot water bottle in the car in advance, even a battery-powered heater for child seats there, but that was either not practical enough or un-ecological. I wanted a very simple solution!
Finally, it occurred to me that there are more and more for adults on offer at the discount store (maybe also in the hardware store?) These square aluminum seat covers. So I have worried me and then cut with a pair of scissors, so that it reaches over the buttocks and lower back. The edition is also pretty thin, so that the strap still fits. I find this extremely practical, the seat pad reflects the body heat and that without consuming extra energy (now please do not start a discussion about aluminum ...) Anyway, Junior now always has a nice warm bum and mummy no guilty conscience anymore ...)
