SMS TAN procedure against Smart TAN Optic replaced
Actually, I had always set up at my bank so that when I want to create an online transfer, I get the TAN sent to my mobile number. Until sometime my cell phone was stolen and somebody had fun with it and tried to find out my account details (thanks apps is not that hard) and all of a sudden money was transferred, of which I knew nothing and what I did had not been commissioned. Then I got a new number ... which was not yet converted to the bank and accordingly, I got when I wanted to make a transfer online, no TAN sent to this number. Changed, I notice that my bank is now also charged 0.10 € per SMS and so I have to pay per bank transfer or change a standing order online. I then inquired on the Internet and found out that there is already the Smart TAN Optic procedure at my bank. Now I have such a box at home and use this method, which saves me on the one hand money and on the other hand seems to be much safer.
