So the spring lilac keeps much longer
In spring, I am always very happy that the lilac is blooming again. I love the beautiful flowers and the scent. I always have several bouquets in the apartment. Over time, I've noticed a few things about how the lilac in the vase lasts much longer.
I cut the lilac branches in the morning, because they are then still optimally supplied with water by the lilac bush. I remove the leaves so that the flowers get more water.
Before the lilac branches come in as wide a vase as possible, I cut the stems a bit. So they can absorb water better. The wide vase I recommend, so that the branches are not crowded.
Of course, it does not have to be a vase to put the lilac branches in. Suitable are also beautiful bottles, in which I put but then only a branch or baskets are placed in a bowl or small bucket of water.
Since lilac is very "thirsty", I check the water level daily to enjoy my bouquets for as long as possible and I also like to combine several lilac colors with each other.
