Application:
The heat is used for relaxation and relieving pain.
Since this pillow emits a slightly damp heat, it is particularly suitable for the treatment of inflammatory diseases of the joints (arthrosis).
Diseases such as cervical, abdominal, kidney, bladder infections or even colds can be treated excellently.
Especially suitable for the following complaints:
- Spine and joint pain
- arthrosis
- muscular
- colds
- Tensions in the neck and shoulder area
- Headache migraine
- Flatulence in infants
- Abdominal discomfort
If they suffer from rheumatism, they knead the pillow in warmed condition.
Warming:
- Microwave: 3 minutes at 700 watts
- Oven: To protect the fabric wrapped in aluminum foil at 80-100 degrees, 15-20 minutes.
- In winter you can just put it on the heater.
- The pillow never gets as cold under the covers as the water in a hot water bottle, but still feels warmer than your own body temperature. It quickly takes on body temperature under the covers. (We always have our spelled pillows in bed under the covers, just like the kids do their stuffed animal.)

- 40-50 cm x 60 -70 cm fabric, checkered (sews almost without time-consuming staking), dark, as do pillows unfortunately not wash. (The back of an old men's shirt is very well suited for this!) You usually do not get such a good fabric in the normal fabric shop)
- Fold one narrow side of the fabric 1 1/2 cm to the left side and sew with a seam.
- Lay the fabric in the longitudinal direction with the left side outwards and close the two remaining sides with a seam.
- Turn the fabric over, spread out the seam and iron on.
- In the longitudinal direction, sew a center seam that has two connected "hoses"? arise.
- Now fold the fabric twice in length and mark the three kinks with safety pins (!) On the edge.
- Distribute 1 kg of spelled to 8 cups, fill a cup of spelled into each tube, close with a cross-seam at the marked point. Repeat this process 3 times.
- The spelled pillow is ready!
Additional tips:
If the fabric is longer, you can also make 10 or 12 cassettes, but then you need more spelled.
Depending on your needs, you can also make larger or smaller pillows.
For an infant I would, for example, make a pillow of 15 x 15 cm with 4 compartments and a filling of 200 g.
The other day I filled a pillow of 50 x 70 cm and 30 cassettes with 2 1/2 kg spelled. An acquaintance asked me about it, because before the massage the back can be well preheated, if the patient lies on his stomach. She first distributes oil on her back, then puts a towel on it and then the warmed pillow that she covers with a blanket.
