Spice up old furniture

I inherited an old farmhouse cabinet. Unfortunately, there was a huge and very deep scratch on the front. I really did not like the cupboard. I then did a little tour of a big hardware store and got stuck with mosaic tiles. I bought a corresponding amount and made myself with the hot glue gun to work.

I stuck the cabinet to the affected area with the small tiles and grouted afterwards. The grouting was not that easy, because you have to be very careful not to spread the mass on the whole wood and make too much mess with it (I covered the surrounding area with garbage bags). And the grout must be applied sparingly so that the wood is not damaged. Looks really great, scratch is gone and the cabinet looks very different with little work and for little money.

The same thing I did with an old living room table. The table top made of glass was very scratched, so I threw it away and also stuck the table with the mosaic tiles. Just try it on your old furniture
