Spicy pumpkin pie

Spicy pumpkin pie with onions on quark puff pastry.

This autumn pumpkin cake is an unusual variation on the onion cake and brings with its strong color really good mood on the table.

I make it with quark puff pastry, which is completely problem-free and tastes good.


For a baking tray you need:

For the dough:

250 g of cottage cheese, flour and butter each


As well as some salt. Knead well and roll out on a baking sheet with baking paper.

For the covering you need:

500 g pumpkin, I took nutmeg squash and roughly ruffled.
2 onions are cut into pieces
1 half red chili pepper, cut into small pieces
1 small piece of ginger, chopped
200 g cream, 100 g bacon cubes
2 eggs
200 g quark
Pepper salt

Mix everything, spread on the dough. Bake at 200 degrees for about 50 minutes. It tastes of green salad.
