Store fruits and vegetables safe from the mouse, refrigerate: in recycling boxes

I'm always annoyed about mouse bites in the basement or in the outhouse. There are so many beautiful sturdy boxes, but all with handle openings where the mice get through. After a long search, I have decided on a variant that is not particularly expensive. And now I have my harvest for weeks in recycling boxes that have a flap on the front and also stackable. Super practical to remove and look.

They are not very airtight put together - also because of the flap, which has a bit of play around, can air in. Besides, it is not bad to put under the vegetables newspaper which absorbs moisture. You have to be in control anyway. But I have found no mold damage and, above all, no traces of mice.

Anyone who still has concerns about the supply of fresh air, which can make even a few extra holes in the plastic wall with a large drill. Anyway, I'm very happy with it.
