Strawberry and rhubarb and vanilla jam

Tasty - slightly sour - strawberry jam with rhubarb and vanilla.

ingredients

  • 500 g rhubarb
  • 1 kg of strawberries
  • Juice 1 lemon
  • 2 pck vanilla sugar or pith of a vanilla pod
  • 1 pck gelling sugar (3: 1)

preparation

  1. Cook as normal on the jelly bag as instructed.
  2. When it's warm, but not yet cooking, I puree the whole thing.
  3. After cooking quickly fill into glasses (enough for 8 glasses, which are in ready-made pizza dough).
  4. You can also cook the vanilla pod and fish it out before bottling.
