Sun and heat protection for skylights

Sun and heat protection installed inside is only half as effective, if at all. With sunscreen on the inner pane, I've made quite poor experiences.

In my roof window, the disc jumped over the entire window area, since the vacuum, or gas or whatever is in the panes, has heated up too much and the internal stress was too large.

But since I do not want to invest so much in a manufacturer heat protection, I have just taken a car windshield sunscreen and clamp this up and down in the window frame ... outside .. quasie like the car. It darkens at the same time.

Depending on the time of day / weather, this can also be reduced very quickly. Even if it rains, it is no problem. Could u.U. even a great hail protection. If you want to leave them for a longer period of time, you could somehow tie them to the frame with thumbtacks. Or you cut them to the window glass size, make small holes in all corners and then attach them with suction hooks directly on the outer pane.

There are now also these heat protection films with motifs. Of course, you can also paint your own motives with color and in different sizes (widths), this is probably synonymous, as there are also different sized car windscreens.
